Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, THE 50 STATES OF THE UNITED STATES, IRELAND, FRANCE, CANADA, NEW ZEALAND, AUSTRALIA, AND SINGAPORE,  18 OR OLDER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. ELIGIBILITY: “The Giving Journey Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom, the 50 states of the United States, Canada, Ireland, France, Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia, and Japan who are at least eighteen years of age or older as of the date of entry.Void in Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories and possessions, and where prohibited. Employees of GiveMeTap LLC (the “Sponsor”) as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members of each such employee, whether related or not, are not eligible to enter or win. The Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.The Promotion is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

2. AGREEMENT TO RULES:By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of GiveMeTap, as final and binding as it relates to the content. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

3. PROMOTION PERIOD:The Promotion begins on October 15, 2017 at 12:00 AM and ends on December 23, 2017 at 11:59 PM the ("Promotion Period").All times are (GMT-05:00) Eastern Standard Time.Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the promotion. All entries must be received during the dates and times specified in the Promotion Period.

4. HOW TO ENTER:No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

• ENTRY VIA PURCHASE:During the Promotion period, you can enter the Sweepstakes when you purchase GiveMeTap bottles on  www.givemetap.com or www.givemetap.co.uk and submit your consent to enter the Sweepstakes and agree to the Sweepstakes Official Rules. Bulk orders of co-branded GiveMeTap bottles can be made via email with our Sales Representatives and also grant entry to the Sweepstakes. Upon successful completion of your bulk order, you will be emailed a confirmation of your entry into the Sweepstakes. You can earn additional entries by sharing the Sweepstakes via email and on your personal social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Google+). You will receive one (1) additional entry per sharing. Limit one (1) entry per sharing per person per day. For the purposes of this Promotion, a day is understood to begin at 12:00 a.m. EST and end at 11:59 p.m. EST that same day. You will also be awarded a bonus entry for each person that enters this sweepstake from your shared link.
• FREE ALTERNATE METHOD OF ENTRY:An individual who does not wish to make a purchase may enter the sweepstakes by completing the sweepstakes form in its entirety (“Alternate Free Entry”). By submitting the sweepstakes form to GiveMeTap, you automatically agree to subscribe to our newsletter. Incomplete entry forms will not qualify for the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) entry per person during the promotion period. You may only use one (1) email address to enter the Promotion. Any attempt by any participant to obtain multiple entries by using different email addresses, accounts, identities, registrations, or logins or any other methods will void that participant’s entries and that participant will be disqualified. Use of any automated systems to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any entrant, the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

5. WINNER SELECTION/VERIFICATION:The winners will be selected in three (3) random drawings from all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period. These drawings will occur in conjunction with the necessary funds being raised. Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor will notify winners by announcing the winner via at least one of the Sponsor’s social media accounts, email, and/or mail address associated with the winner’s entry form, and by any other means provided within the promotion materials within five (5) days of the drawing. Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including failure to monitor social media, inactive email accounts, technical difficulties associated therewith, or winner’s failure to adequately monitor any email or social media account. Winners may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability release, tax form and, where legal, a publicity release (collectively, the “Eligibility Documents”) within five (5) calendar days of the date of issuance. If potential winners cannot be reached within five (5) calendar days from the first notification attempt, in the event of noncompliance within the above stated Eligibility Documents time period or with these Official Rules, or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, an alternate winner may be selected for the applicable prize.

6. PRIZE GRAND PRIZE (3): The prizes consists of (i) six (6) days and five (5) nights of accommodations in Ghana with three daily meals included; (ii) ground transportation to/from the airport; (iii) visit to GiveMeTap’s Water Partner Organization; (iv) visits to communities where water projects were installed. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Prize: $3,000. Travel must be completed between 01/01/18 and 12/31/18 on dates specified by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner.  Winners are responsible for obtaining all travel documents, including passports and/or visas, as applicable.
   

   By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant acknowledges that the Sponsor shall not be required under any circumstances to award more prizes than the number of available prizes, as set out in these Rules. The Prize must be accepted as awarded;no substitution, assignment, or transfer of the prize is permitted, except by the sponsor, who has the right to substitute a prize with another of comparable or greater value.

7. TAXES AND EXPENSES:Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state,  and local taxes and all other fees and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded, including if the Grand Prize winner incurs fees or expenses for any additional ground transportation, luggage fees, souvenirs, additional meals, beverages, tours, excursions, or gratuities.

8. PERSONAL INFORMATION:The Sponsor will collect, use, and disclose the personal information you provide when you enter the Sweepstakes for the purposes of administering the Sweepstakes and prize fulfillment. You may be offered the opportunity to receive additional communications from Sponsor about its products, and upcoming sweepstakes, contests and promotions. The Sweepstakes Websites are hosted on servers in the United States, and the personal information you provide may therefore also be subject to the laws of the United States.

9. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:By participating, each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and void all associated entries.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS:By participating, entrants consent to the use of their names, cities and states of residence, voices, and/or photographs and/or similar related information for promotional, advertising and other purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity by Sponsor and its designees, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, investors, affiliates, suppliers, water partner organizations, retailers, and promotion partners, and all of their respective officers, shareholders, employees, and agents (collectively, “Releasees”) from any claims, actions, injury, liability, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this Promotion or from the acceptance or use or misuse of any prize awarded (including any travel/activity related thereto).

11. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:  Releasees are not responsible for: (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or cable, satellite, telephone or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process of the Promotion; (iv) late, lost, undelivered, misdirected, delayed, damaged, inaccurate, garbled or incomplete entries, email addresses, or for any electronic, computer, printing, typographical, human or other error relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Promotion-related materials (including these Official Rules); or (v) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrant’s computer, hardware, or software, which injury or damage may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Promotion for any reason, including if bugs, virus, fraud, technical failures or any other factor impairs the integrity, administration or proper play of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prizes in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of such impairment.
12. CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of New York, USA.

13. OFFICIAL RULES / WINNER’S LIST: For the names of winners, available after 12/25/17, or for an additional copy of these Official Rules, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: The Giving Journey Sweepstakes, c/o GiveMeTap LLC 119 W 24th Street New York, NY 10015. Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winners’ List”. Requests must be received by 01/25/18. Vermont residents may omit return postage for “Rules” requests.
