Sustainable
- Of these 13 billion plastic bottles (or 1.5m tonnes of plastic) only 10% are recycled whilst the rest go to landfills.
- Worldwide, approximately 2.7 million tons of plastic are used to bottle water each year, and accounts for approximately 2.5% of the world's oil consumption.
- Providing bottled water to the UK produces an estimated 33,000 tonnes of C02 emission. That’s the equivalent of powering 6000 homes annually.
