  • The world's most expensive tap water is Kana Nigari from Hawaii. It sells for £15 for a 2oz bottle. That's £255 a litre.

Sustainable

  • Of these 13 billion plastic bottles (or 1.5m tonnes of plastic) only 10% are recycled whilst the rest go to landfills.
  • Worldwide, approximately 2.7 million tons of plastic are used to bottle water each year, and accounts for approximately 2.5% of the world's oil consumption.
  • Providing bottled water to the UK produces an estimated 33,000 tonnes of C02 emission. That’s the equivalent of powering 6000 homes annually.

  • Dirty water kills 1.8 million people per year; 90% are children.
