I live outside the U.K. Can I still get a GiveMeTap bottle?

Yes! Simply follow the same process on our online shop and we'll get your bottle to you in a timely fashion.

What is the GiveMeTap bottle made from?

GiveMeTap bottles are made from the highest quality 304 stainless steel and is BPA-free.

What is BPA?

BPA, or more formally known as Bisphenol A, is a chemical found in certain plastics and was first approved by the FDA in early 1960s. A number of concerns over the safety of BPA and the dangerous implications it can have on those who consume it have been raised. A full explanation on the growing concerns of BPA is available here

So,are all GiveMeTap bottles free of BPA?

Yes, all GiveMeTap bottles are 100% free of BPA. We have FDA approval of this too.

Is the GiveMeTap bottle light and easy to carry?

Yes. We made the GiveMeTap bottle with on the go usage in mind. It is extremely light-weight, coming in at under 100 grams - that's around the weight of a medium apple.

What sizes does the GiveMeTap bottle come in?

Currently GiveMeTap bottles are 400ml in size. If you think we should produce bigger sized bottles please let us know by contacting us.

Can I put hot liquids in my GiveMeTap bottle?

Not unless you like getting your hands burnt. Please do not put boiling hot water in the bottle as it does not have dual layers.

Can I put liquids other than water in my GiveMeTap bottle?

Yes, you can. However be sure to thoroughly clean your bottle afterwards so that your water will not have an after taste.

Can I hand wash my GiveMeTap bottle?

Absolutely. We suggest that you clean your bottle using a couple drops of washing-up soap and then filling it half way with warm water, screw on the cap, and then shake the bottle. Then rinse it out completely, for a fresh and clean GiveMeTap bottle.

What is the best way to dry my GiveMeTap bottle?

Remove the screw cap, tip it upside down on a dry surface and leave it to air-dry.

Does the GiveMeTap bottle leak if I put it in my bag?

No, if you make sure that the lid is screwed on completely. This way you can rest assured that all the items in your bag or purse are safe.

Where can I refill my GiveMeTap bottle?

You can refill your bottle at any café or shop that has signed up as a GiveMeTap 'provider'.

How many refills can I get?

You can enjoy as many refills as you wish, but please be polite to the shop owners who are being very nice in helping everyone get water

I live in an area with no GiveMeTap providers. What can I do?

We are expanding our network of GiveMeTap providers, to increase the number of Taps available to you. If we don't have any Taps in your area you can help us sign up some or suggest one.

How many bottles could be saved, if I use a GiveMeTap bottle?

What water projects do you support?

We are funding and supporting the All4One Namibia Water Project in conjunction with Kalahari Peoples Fund, Accounting4Africa and The Redbush Tea Company to drill a borehole in Namibia. This water project will change the lives of 1,200 people in that Kalahari area by providing them with easy access to clean water. For more details visit the projects page.

What percentage of sales does GiveMeTap give to water projects?

We have pledged to give 70 per cent of our profits from our stylish GiveMeTap bottles to build and fund water projects in parts of the world which need it most.

My GiveMeTap bottle has a defect, what is the policy on returns?

It's simple. Just pop it back in the post to us, telling us what's wrong with it and we'll send you a replacement.
